  1. I like the contrast in the color photo. Usually I prefer B&W but I like the colors in this particular shot, it seems so bright and cheery in color.

The B&W looks good, but I think that the color is better in this one! Great shot!

I really like the use of color in the first one. The second one might have worked if it was re-framed with the subject more on the left.

  4. Hello, I was directed to your blog by a Mr. Evans. So I thought I would contribute. In "contast" to everyone else I would say the B&W is the more powerful of the two.

The color in the backgound, while providing a nice frame for the subject also generates distractions such as the blurred out car. in the B&W version the car dissapears and turns into a nice abstract backgound for the subject.

Nice shot! I like the fact that the photographer is in fact looking you rather than through her camera.

Oh... good point 'unknown'! I didn't think of that, but I can definately see it, now.

As for the was it's framed... I second Johnathan's opinion of putting the subject more to the left. The rule of thirds, makes a world of difference. (I often foget this too)

  6. Cute picture! My personal choice would probably be the black and white, though it looks great in color as well.
