#2: Get Farther Away

"Getting closer and making your center of interest
larger is usually a good idea, but it's not always the
solution. Sometimes giving your focal point a lot
of space provides more dramatic and
emotional emphasis.

By including a lot of space around a lone beachcomber
on a deserted beach, for instance, you heighten
the feelings of solitude by showing the larger
environment. The eye had no trouble finding
the center of interest, rather it is drawn to it
by the emphasis of the overall scene."
